No that was not a typo, it actually is 7.1. The sound of 7 speakers coming from 2. Expected release date is early 2009 or December 2008. These wont be for the faint of heart, trust me. Their current high end headphones are the Barracuda HP-1 which sell for 7000rs. If you ask me, thats overkill.
According to Razer, the Megalodon uses Maelstrom audio engine which is based on military grade audio technology which was originally developed for fighter pilots who need precise positional warnings about incoming missiles.
